A little 3-year old girl lives in my street. She likes puffy pink dresses, bows, hairpins and other girls' accessories. Her mother asked me to sew this lovely doll with a flower-decorated dress. My New Friend doll is designed for play NOT display. She is made hale and hardy and fully expects to go where your child goes and do what your child does. If you hug the doll she will hug you back. She has a dress, pantaloons, a pinafore, shoes and socks which are all removable and fasten with velcro, elastic and laces.- Comment [0]

The talented Sara Lanzillotta makes fantastic handmade dolls, creatures and monsters. Her site Devout Dolls presents a huge collection of her creations: Dolls of the Silver Screen, aliens, fairies, octopus, Siamese twin dolls, little strange creatures, witches, two headed kitties, Indian gods, mermaids, dolls of popular characters like Harry Potter’s Herminone, Neil Gaiman’s Death, Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Wonder woman.

Technically today's featured artists are not Canadian, but Michigan is close enough, isn't it?! The Handwork Group is a collective of Waldorf parents who create handcrafted artwork to sell to benefit their children's school. Our products are made of natural animal fur and leather outside with inside strong plastics mould which are hollow. Almost all can be done by artificial fur if your country does not allow real animal fur.- Comment [0]
