Mosaic marble tradition is a form of art decoration that has existed for nearly four thousand years, with origins in the Roman architecture. The amount of time and labor expended to create these works of art are phenomenal yet the outcome presents an appealing marriage of intricate colorful patterns and images reflected in the austerity and solidity of stone.

We are Carl and Sandra Bryant, a husband and wife artist team that specializes in handmade glass and ceramic fine art mosaics. Our studio is in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where we enjoy working with people all over the country, thanks to the wonders of technology. We began in painting and handmade tile, but in 2001, discovered (and fell in love with!) mosaics as a combination of the two.

Micromosaics™ are assemblages of small pieces of enamel, an opaque, vitreous substance which is similar to glass. The Vatican has kept the actual formula a secret for over 200 years. Micro mosaics, which are the very smallest of these, were produced from the late eighteenth to the end of the nineteenth century.
