Handmade embroidery is especially exciting to me - the idea that somebody painstakingly and patiently worked their way through the cloth with thread and needle, bringing out colour and design.
I don't know why this fascination really, but some fine embroidery is really worth keeping and enjoying as often as possible.

The polymer books are heavy, so it's a great time to scoop one up. Each book is laboriously and lovingly made by hand. The polymer covers can take up to three days to create. Cutting, folding paper and binding generally take half a day. Give a gift to your artist friends, or keep a treasure for yourself.

These mosaic vases and glass tile artworks are all original works. Individual tiles are cut from sheets of stained glass, painted glass, iridized glass, mirrored glass using only hand tools (no saws or grinders). Some tiles are as small as 3/16" square. Tiles (sometimes thousands) are individually glued to a glass shape (like a vase), edges filed and grouted. Some art works use translucent glass so that a candle or oil lamp insert may be placed inside and the entire art work...
